Why Vanelo exists
A first equity round is mostly an information problem. Second-time founders have a network that answers the awkward questions quietly: what stage am I really at, what would an investor pick apart, what is this company worth, who should I even be emailing. First-time founders usually have none of that, and the cost of finding out the hard way is months of the runway they were trying to extend.
Vanelo was built around the five challenges that come up again and again: clarity on stage, assessing readiness, valuation, fragmented support and finding the right investors. Every tool in the platform maps back to one of them. Nothing in Vanelo raises money for you, and nothing here promises an introduction. What it does is make your position legible, to you first and to an investor second.
That is also why the product is opinionated about a few things. The Valuation Engine returns a range and never a single recommended figure. The Investability Assessment will tell you that you are at Pre-Investable Stage if that is what your answers show. A Showcase campaign is reviewed by Vanelo before it goes live, and full campaign detail is only readable by verified investors.

What we built the platform around
These are the five problems first-time founders bring to a first raise, and the part of Vanelo that answers each one.
Round Management
One record for the round as it moves through Draft, Active, Completed or Abandoned. It holds your funding ask, currency, pre-money valuation, equity offered, use of funds, previous raises and SEIS or EIS tax relief.
Investability Assessment
The Vanelo Investability Framework asks 14 questions across three weighted dimensions: Viable business (40 points), Sizable opportunity (35) and Backable team (25), scored out of 100. The result lands in one of these tiers: Highly Investable (70 to 100), Investable with Improvements (40 to 69) or Pre-Investable Stage (0 to 39).
Valuation Engine
Three methodologies run side by side: Scorecard, which weighs nine factors against a comparable median pre-money; Berkus, which scores five factors on monetary tiers; and Venture Capital, which extrapolates Year-5 EBITDA with a cap. The output is a defensible range you can defend line by line.
One place instead of six
A Digital Data Room for your pitch deck and legal documents, a Due Diligence readiness checklist of 20 items across six categories, Advisory Services you can book with fundraising advisors, and an Inspiration Hub of curated articles, playbooks and template banks.
Investor Database
1,389 investor records, made up of 387 VC firms and 1,002 angels, with 83 based in the UK. Your automated target list is matched on three tests: stage, sector and ticket compatibility.
What the product does, end to end
Vanelo is built to be worked in order. Each step produces something the next step needs, so by the time you are talking to investors the awkward questions already have answers behind them.
- Set up the round. Record the ask, currency, pre-money valuation, equity offered, use of funds, previous raises and SEIS or EIS position, and keep its status current from Draft through to Completed.
- Take the Investability Assessment. Fourteen questions produce a score out of 100 across Viable business, Sizable opportunity and Backable team, and a tier that tells you plainly whether you are ready to pitch or have work to do first.
- Run the Valuation Engine. Scorecard, Berkus and Venture Capital produce a valuation range rather than a single number, which is the form the conversation with an investor actually takes.
- Work the Due Diligence checklist. Twenty items across six categories, so the documents an investor asks for exist before they ask.
- Build the Digital Data Room. Organise and share your pitch deck and legal documents with per-recipient access grants and expiry, and see who opened what in the access log.
- Build the target list. Match against the investor database on stage, sector and ticket compatibility, so outreach starts with investors who invest at your stage.
- Run the pipeline. The investor CRM moves each conversation through eight stages: Target, Contact Initiated, Data Room Shared, Active Engagement, Term Sheet Received, Due Diligence, Deal Agreed and Funds Committed.
- Go public, if it suits the raise. A Showcase campaign is reviewed by Vanelo before going live, then appears in Deal Discovery, where verified investors can read the full detail.

How we handle your side of it
You can erase your account yourself. Documents in your data room carry an access log, so you can see who opened what and when. Investors must be verified before they can read full campaign detail. Full detail lives in our privacy policy.

Stated plainly, before you buy
We do not refund booked services, campaign submissions or subscriptions. That is worth knowing before you submit a Showcase campaign or book an advisory session, which is why it is on this page and not only in the terms.
Cancel any time
Cancel from your account whenever you like. The plan runs to the end of the month you paid for, and nothing you added is deleted.
