The reading that sits next to the work
A first raise asks you to produce documents you have never written, in a sequence nobody explains, for an audience you have not met. The Inspiration Hub is where Vanelo keeps the curated articles, playbooks and template banks that cover those parts, in the same place as the round they relate to.
What it is
It is a library, and we would rather describe it as one than dress it up. Three kinds of material sit in it: articles, playbooks and template banks. All of it is curated rather than crowdsourced, which means somebody chose what goes in and what stays out.
The reason it lives inside the platform rather than on a blog is proximity. When the Valuation Engine hands you a range you are not sure how to talk about, the reading on how founders defend a number is one click away rather than one search engine away. Reading and doing stay in the same window.
This is the lightest of the seven tools
It does not score you, calculate anything, or move a deal forward on its own. It is general material, written for the general case, and it is not advice about your company.
Nobody should subscribe to Vanelo for the Inspiration Hub alone. It earns its place by making the other six tools easier to use well.
Three kinds of material
Each one answers a different sort of question, and you will reach for them at different points in the round.
For when you need the concept
Curated pieces on how early-stage fundraising actually works: what a pre-money valuation is, what SEIS and EIS tax relief mean to an investor reading your round, why an investor asks for a use of funds breakdown.
These are the ones to read before your first investor conversation rather than during it.
For when you need the sequence
Step-by-step guidance for a specific stretch of the raise, such as taking a target list of investors through to first contact, or preparing what a data room should hold before you share it with anyone.
An article tells you what a thing is. A playbook tells you the order to do it in.
For when you need the starting point
Structures you can work from instead of opening a blank page, for the documents a first-time founder has never had to produce before.
A template is a shape, not a submission. The numbers, the story and the judgement in it are still yours, and an investor will read them as yours.
Who it is for
Founders raising equity for the first time
That is the whole of Vanelo's audience, and it is the whole of the Hub's. The material assumes you have not done this before and does not assume you already know the vocabulary. If you have raised three rounds, most of this will be beneath you, and that is the correct reaction to it.
Founders who have hit one specific step and stopped
The common shape of a first raise is long stretches of progress interrupted by one step you have never taken. The Hub is aimed at those interruptions, which is why it is organised by the thing you are stuck on rather than by publication date.
Founders deciding whether the problem needs a person
Reading is the cheapest way to find out. Work through the relevant material first, and if the problem is still specific to your company after that, it is a good candidate for an advisory session with a fundraising advisor rather than for more reading.
How it sits beside the other tools
An Investability Assessment that lands in Investable with Improvements tells you which of the three dimensions is holding you back. The Hub is where you go to read about that dimension.
A round you are still drafting needs a use of funds narrative and a defensible pre-money figure before it goes anywhere. The Hub covers both in the general case, and the Valuation Engine handles the arithmetic for yours.
A data room you are about to share, or the 20 item due diligence readiness checklist you are working through, both go faster if you have read what investors expect to find in them.
General information, not advice
The Hub, the templates and the due diligence checklist are structure and general information. They are not legal, tax or financial advice about your situation, and they do not determine eligibility for SEIS or EIS tax relief. Take your own independent advice before you raise. Our terms set this out in full.
What it costs
Nothing beyond the founder subscription of £25.99 per month. The Inspiration Hub carries no separate fee, no per-download charge and no upgrade gate. The only charges on the platform outside the subscription are the £357 Showcase review fee per campaign, the £357 re-review fee when reviewed campaign content is edited, and advisory services, which are priced per service.
Subscriptions are not refundable. Under our policy of 28 August 2026 there are no refunds on subscriptions, on booked services or on campaign submissions. You can cancel the subscription at any time, and it runs to the end of the month you paid for.
